SUNDAY 29TH MAY – CLASSIC WINGS & WHEELS EVENT AT BIDFORD GLIDING CLUB
Bidford Airfield is a delightful grass strip at the foot of the Cotswolds, home to the Bidford Gliding and Flying Club. On the Sunday 29th May, the club is holding its 7th Classic Wings and Wheels Event in support of Freedom, a non-profit organisation who support adults with learning disabilities. There will be dedicated areas for Classic Cars and Tractors and visiting and resident aircraft. Following previous years successes, car clubs and individuals will be displaying a variety of models, including Messerschmitt KR200, the only Dodge Dakota, a 1913 Sigma AL2 and a 1923 Tourist Trophy Bentley.

We expect a de Havilland Dragon Rapide and the Birmingham Royal Aeronautical Societies Representative will discuss the Rans Coyote aircraft built by students as part of a STEM project.
Craft Stalls include ornamental iron/wire sculptures, dragon’s eggs/wands and toys, Raffle prizes include a flight in a glider (donated by BGFC members), a hamper, goods and vouchers generously donated by local businesses. We have “hook a duck” and lucky numbers and there will be candy floss, fudge and face painting.
Free entry for all, doors open at 10.00 refreshments all day + BBQ bar open from 12pm RAF Flypast Spitfire/Hurricane Please bring cash, attractions are outside.
